Emergency Services Meeting

As Mayor, I will be hosting an event on October 19th from 11:00a.m. – 1:00p.m. in Edison Park which will include information on emergency services and also a discussion on traffic safety in College Park West.

This will be a potluck where we encourage neighbors to bring a dish and share with the rest of the neighborhood.

The CERT team, our Fire Department, Police Department will be available for questions and discuss crime and crime prevention as well as emergency preparedness.

2019 Mayor of Seal Beach

I’m proud and excited to be Mayor of Seal Beach for 2019! I was voted in 5-0 Monday night by the City Council. A big thank you to friends and family and residents in Seal Beach that have supported me!

I would like to accomplish a few things as Mayor:

I would like to build a strong bridge between the community and the City. I will outline a few ideas on how to do this in the next few months.

I would like to see a restaurant at the end of the Pier and I’d like to see a committee – fiscal audit committee made up of residents look at our current processes and give input. I will outline this more in the future weeks as well.

Thank you everyone!

2019 Mayor of Seal Beach

Welcome District 2!

I would like to encourage you to get involved by looking through this website. I will try to keep you informed and I also would appreciate your comments. Seal Beach is a wonderful place to live. I have lived here for over 20 years now. Please feel free to comment on anything that is bothering you with the city and feel free to reach out to me directly at tmoore@sealbeachca.gov or the phone number above.

Thank you Seal Beach District 2!

I want to thank the voters in Leisure World, Rossmoor Center and College Park West for your confidence. It was a very close election! I look forward to representing each resident and I am very excited about the opportunity to respond to the concerns from all three areas, in addition to serving the interests of the City of Seal Beach.

I plan to set up a website that will have a list of issues for each area of District 2 and for the City of Seal Beach. This site will provide status reports as well as a blog where residents can comment and give their own ideas on how to help resolve our common concerns.

I have three “umbrella” plans that I would like to promote in the community:

  1. “Buy local” – work with the Chamber of Commerce to formalize incentives that help boost people buying locally in Seal Beach.
  2. Reduce Homelessness / & Improve Crime Prevention – work with the Lion’s club, the city and other organizations / local cities to help reduce homelessness and help push the neighbor for neighbor program to prevent crime
  3. Reach out to Seniors living alone – again working with Lion’s club, the city, Golden Rain Foundation and other organizations

For all Seal Beach residents, I would like to make sure we get the pier rebuilt as quickly as possible. I also want to maintain the small-town feel that makes Seal Beach such a great place to live.

As a member of the Lion’s Club, I want to thank it’s members, and all other local service organizations, for all they do for our wonderful city. It is that spirit of giving that is really the heart and soul our community.

As a lot of you know I am well connected at Cal State Long Beach on the Alumni Executive Board and I look forward to seeing how we can get those students over to shop at our businesses and eat at our restaurants here in Seal Beach.

I look forward to working with the City and the City Staff. I’ve met a lot of people with the city and everyone I have met has been very helpful so far.

Thank you all and I promise to do my best as your representative on the Seal Beach City Council!

Thank you!
